Event ID 1030

Expand Post »
I could really use some help understanding this one.

I work in an enviroment with 8 servers - 1 domain controller and 2 backup. Mail server, DNS server, Web server and User Share server. For clients we have a total of 25-30 connected to the network on a more perminate basis.

I've been getting this event ID: 1030 Source: Userenv on some of the client computers (not on the servers). The error states:
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy Objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine.

I've gone through and run a manual gpupdate on the clients and checked the sysvol security and everything seems to match up (according to the first comment on eventid.net). I then run a rsop.msc to see if the policy is actually updated on the client computers and I get nothing. No policy updated or anything.

I need help trying to figure this one out. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Any replys on the topic would be appreciated.
