XP Won't load programs!!!!HELP!!!!

I have a small recording studio in my house and I send my computer out to get cleaned up and when I got it back none of my programs would open up. There are select programs that will but none of my recording programs will open up from the shortcut or the start menu. I have tried reinstalling the programs to no avail. Any help would be appreciated, I am pretty computer literate, not a genius. Thanks.

You could try system restore... To restore your computer to the day before you sent it out to be cleaned.... try the following... it is totaly reverseable....

Click start ... All Programs....Accessories.... System Tools .....System Restore .... click next ... choose a date the day before you sent it to be cleaned then next next next finish..... system will start restore .....let it complete.... it will restart...

test you files and programs .... let us know
ps... what did you feel needed to be cleaned ??
