How delete failed Windows 2000 installation

Expand Post »
My PC has been getting slower and slower lately so I thought reinstalling the OS would help clean things up. I forgot I have an encrypted HD so it crashed halfway through. Now I am still running on the old Windows 2000 but the failed new one is lying around.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Re: How delete failed W2000 installation

Boot up with the install cd, delete partition, create a new one, install windows.

Backup what you want to keep before doing this though.

Re: How delete failed W2000 installation

Why are you installing 2k ontop of 2k? it makes no sence!! but any way, if you feel you NEED to, then do as feigned said, but i highly recommend formating the partition you are intending to install the OS, it's good practice!
