XP Pro won't recognise DVD Drives

Hey Guy's. I recently upgraded from XP Home to Pro, but there's one problem it won't recognise my DVD Drives, XP Home recognised them, BIOS recognises them, but as soon as I open My Computer - NOTHING. The copy of Pro is full legit and it's driving me mad, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks heaps for your quick advice and help hughv you're a champ, went to support followed their instructions still no help, went to my Motherboard vendors site, got all the latest drivers and the latest IDE drivers solved it, now they're back in My Computer and life is sweet
