I have been trying to install numerous sound cards on my XP system and I continue to receive a message stating that the Data is Invalid. I know that the sound cards work so what seems to be the problem if anyone can help I will appreciate.

Thanks

Check that link for info on you problem .remember when editing the registry be sure to make a backup first ,to do so go to file in the open regedit program and click export and name it and save it to you harddrive .

I have tried that and it does not work. It continues to give that error. It is making me sick.

I have solved my problem. I was looking at what the computer was needing to load the drivers and it was in Driver Cache/Driver.cab, so I copied a new file from the WINXP CD and replaced it and it worked.

Thanks for the help!

good to you you figured it out ,good luck!!!
