Help please

i have created a computer and i was just finishing up adding the hardrive, the hardrive is from a windows xp computer and i try to put it in the computer but the computer wont detect the ardrive what can i do?

You have given us absolutely no information about what the pc you have built is or what type of hard drive you have.

We are not mind readers. We can only work with the information you give us.

try to plug in the power cable to the hard drive
make sure your jumpers are set correctly ...master / slave
test the hard drive on another machine
double check to see if your cables are connected
