2nd Hard drive

Sorry if this has been covered previously....

Have an Gateway Essential 500 with DVD, burner, zip drive. I have a 20 gig HD in it and have purchased a 120 gig HD. I would like to use thw 20 gig as a slave but there a no additional connections on the (IDE?) cable. What is the solution?

Buy a new IDE cable.

Simple answer... :D

They are cheap enough so should not be a problem, if your in the UK try something like
www.ebuyer.co.uk (but postage might be a pig on one little item, might not be worth it.

If your almost anywhere in the world Ebay ( www.ebay.co.uk | www.ebay.com | etc) is a good place to source little things like this for not a lot of money

There really is no use for my zip drive anymore, can I just bypass it and use that connection for the 20 gig drive?

Thanks,
