I have an IBM machine running windows 2000 professional. I changed the appearance settings. Mainly I just wanted to change the background. Well I selected a background from those available in the drop down list. I changed some other settings and finally the apply button disappeared so I can't change anything anymore. I would like to get the computer back where it was before I changed the settings mainly because it takes forever to come up now. I think it takes so long because its putting in my personal appearance settings. Any ideas?
