Cannot replace or create *File*: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Expand Post »
Hi Im new here and I have a problem.

Last week my old hard drive sorta crashed on me. So now I have a new hard drive.

But all my files are on my old hard drive and I want to transfer them so I have my old hard drive slaved to my new one.

Every thing is fine for the most part but there is a problem when I try to transfer my Music folder with all my mp3s.

First of all, I can’t even open the folder, it sorta just freezes on me.

And when I try to move it, it says - “Cannot replace or create Music: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Is there anything I can do to save all my mp3s or are they lost forever?

Please help!
