Freezing during start up process Win2000, Help

Expand Post »
May I ask for anyones assistance please?

This started happening a couple of days ago.

Start the computer up. Fill in the administrators password. A few seconds later the screen freezes completely refusing to budge to the desktop and therefore my icons.

Have just removed Zonealarms and Purge Internet Explorer from programs prior to this problem commencing.

Any assistance appreciated. Windows2000Pro.

Best regards!!

Do a ctrl - Alt - del ... and open taskmanager ........... end task explorer.exe and then start a new task explorer.exe... If it works .... scan for spyware afterwards.
