xp upgrade with hp psc 1210v printer

Expand Post »
I recently upgraded to windows XP and have been informed by HP that because I did not unplug my 1210v all in one printer that the drivers were quarantined and therefore the printer will not work with XP now. I have tried downloading drivers from the web and from the installation disc with no luck. HP tells me the only solution is to reload ME remove the drivers, reload XP and reinstall the printer. Can anyone guarantee me that this will work, presently I am thinking that purchasing a new printer will be less headache.

Re: xp upgrade with hp psc 1210v printer

SOunds like a load of BS to me. Why cant you just reinstall the drivers?
HP should have the XP drivers available on their website - if they dont, shame on them - I say get another non-hp printer
