The Folder Option is missing both in the Control Panel and Tools Menu. What might had caused this problem? Is there any solution to this? Tnx in advanced Gurus!!

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean. What folder option? Would it be too much trouble to attach a screenshot?

I'm with our fearless leader, cscgal...what? What problem? What option? What folder? I'm so confused!

*pets his computer* -- Thank you for not confusing me - I can always count on computers *ZAP* ACK! LUCY!!!

*post - any fix to ESD damaged PC's?*

Ok, I'm done being confused - but if you would, please let us know the problem in a bit more detail and the fix (to be sure it is a fix, not a work around - which would be ok, but not a full fix, and could cause a problem later)

This might be caused by a group policy. Try the following fix: http://www.myfixes.com/quickfixes/fixes/24

I just realized today that there was a mistake in the fix. Instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

the path was

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\

However now is corrected and I just tested the fix and works perfectly :)

Yepp!
I think I found solution for "Folder Option Missing". I tried my idea in my computer and some of my friends'.
You must go to "Control Panel" then "User Account" and then Create a new Administrator User.
If You log on with this new user, I hope you see "Folder Option" again.

In these circumstances the best thing to do is a system restore a week or even a month earlier then a full virus and spyware check.

Tampering with the registry is just a pain.
