Windows Startup

Hi

Where can I find out the file that contains the list of programs that starts when windows start. I hope this isnt reg edit.

The purpose i need this for

just installed XP the msn messenger requires an update, but the update doesnt do anything. Have since installed the latest version but the version on the XP installation disk is still there as well

The startup items are located in a registry hive ... but you can enable or disable them using msconfig.

Type msconfig in cmd prompt and see the last tab -- startup.
