1394 direct connect

Expand Post »
Does anyone know how to connect two XP systems with 1394? I thought I would have to go into the properties drill down (of the 1394 connection) and manually set the IP address, yet I cannot do this on the second PC as the 1394 does not show in the network connections. I have tested the 1394 port and it works on 1394 devices.
I looked for other replies but couldn't find related articles- bear with me, this is the first time on one of these type of sites where I post things> :o
Appreciate any assistance.

Re: 1394 direct connect

Ok, I tried a third PC and was able to direct connect between #1 and #3. On PC#2 the 1394 adapter is built in to the MB and it is working, for whatever reason it does not show in Network connections. Any clue how to get that resolved?
