Windows Media Services - Web Admin Problem

Expand Post »
Hi,

So far nobody seems to be able to answer this question, including the microsoft forums

My problem is when I install the web admin for WMS, I get an error:

"The instruction at 0x57f42f06 referenced memory at 0x5a11302c. The memory could not be read. Click Ok to terminate this program.

It then adds the site to IIS but its got a red warning sign and can says:

"Can not find path"

Does anyone have any idea ?

Cheers,

J

Re: Windows Media Services - Web Admin Problem

the site that you have on red - did you make sure that the virtual folder is pointing to where it should. Because it looks to me that the IIS can not find the root for the site added.

I don't know much about WMS... But I guess is a web share software which you are trying to make public on the server. If it is giving problem in installation you may want to research what it is needed of the server to make it work. maybe you need peer-to-peer drivers or any other service running on the local machine.
