just curious,was the flash need to fix another problem of did you just do if for the sake of doing it !
I have never flashed such a new machine but i know that the older ones on the first boot after the flash you are to go into the bios and set defaults ,and save changes ,before booting into windows .i this maybe the reason for the cmos checksum error

it like with other companies you don't want to buy the cheapest modles abit is a good company upgrading bios is tricky if you put the wrong bios you can screw up the board that is why you make sure that you know what you are doing

And is also why you only flash it with new bios version if the new one has a fix for a problem you are having .not just for the sake of flashing it !:)
