problem installing windows XP

I bought a new hard drive, and i was trying to install WIndows XP pro,
and when it finishes formatting the patition, it starts to copy files to the hard drive, and like when is like 43%, it says it cant copy a hid.dll file, etc... and i dont know whats going on. i checked my cd's and their are not scratch or anything, and i tried another hard drive and it doesnt have that problem.

Hello,

I would say look at the pin settings in the back of the Hard Drive, if they are set correctly then it maybe your Cd or the Hard drive it self.
