svchost.exe error

Expand Post »
I keep getting a svchost.exe error message when I am trying to do updates to win 2000 pro.
I have formatted my HD about ten times thinking I had installed win 2000 wrong and still keep getting error.
Anyone got any solutions before I toss my pc to the street.
I have IE 6 on also

Thanks

Re: svchost.exe error

mestertim, try and run a search on the site for the svchost error. I used to have the same problem but found this site and searched for the problem in here... fortunately, thanks to everyone here, I found the solution to the win2k problem.
