hello - not been on for a while

I suspect that my machine (win2k) may be contaminated with spyware and the like. could anyone recommend a good (preferably freeware) tool for scanning and/or removing this stuff? My Norton firewall etc. doesnt seem to be enough to keep me secure....

Thanks

Sam

Try downloading Adware 6 Free edition from http://www.lavasoft.de/ and Spybot Search and Destroy from http://spybot.safer-networking.de/

Re: anyone recommend spyware scanner and removal tools?

hijackhthis ,is not recomended for a novice computer user ,and is a removal tool used after spybot and ad-aware by someone who knows how to use it right .
