how to shutdown remote pc which runs windows xp

Hi Guies,
My name is Vinay and i want to shutdown and restart a remote computer which is running winsows xp. Before I tried the following command

"shutdown -m \\ipaddress of remote computer"

but these command shows the message like :

"Access Denied"

So please help me guies i need help now!!!!!!!!!!

If you have privs on the remote computer this is the easiest way IMO:
