My computer won’t shut down when I have my Printer (hp officejet d135) plugged into my USB 2.0 Hub. I’ve plugged and unplugged the other 2 devices and they don’t create the same problem.
I have found that certain drivers, especially those for
SiS and
VIA can cause wierd interactions with some USB hardware. Make sure your drivers are up-to-date. The VIA

Remember, too that the
OfficeJet D135 has fax capabilities. There may be some configuration option in the BIOS or on the printer that's holding the system "on" to receive a fax (just a thought).
If you don't know the type of chipset your system has, give us a brand and model or motherboard brand and model and we can help identify it.
