Please help! WindowXP won't start up

Hi Mr./Ms:

My PC was working fine until Sunday. However, it suddenly stop working.

When I turn on the pc, I see the booting message(listing hard drives) and it shows Window XP sign with Windowloading indicator. After few seconds with the loading indicator, screen turns blank.

I thought it was due to BIOS battery and replaced with new one. But it doesn't solve the problem.

Could you kindly help me to resolve this issue. Any suggestion/advice would be appreciated.

After POST, press F8 and the advanced options will be displayed on the screen ... select last known good configuration ...

If it doesnt work then try booting into safe mode. If it doesnt boot ... check on which driver does it hang.
