boot ini

I had a invali boot ini file, allthough windows booted up ok
I used RECOVERY CONSOLE to fix it.
unfortunatley i now have two boot files, and i want to remove one.
how to i delete one of them?

Can u plz specify which OS are u using and is ur boot menu showing two similar OS, then

Go to Start-Run and type 'c:/boot.ini' without quotes, now an ini file will open with the boot loader, now delete the invalid entry

Windows XP Home edition.
