faxing in xp..PUHLEEZE, HELP!!

Hi, all!

My name is Kaydee and I'm new to this forum, but a veteran to this problem. I'm nearly bald from pulling my hair out.
Please help me. I am trying to set up the faxing feature in xp pro. I understand the hidden driver thing and was originally prompted to insert the Service Pack 2 cd when I first tried to install the fax driver--(i386). Well I finally got the SP2 cd, now I'm being asked for the xp pro cd. I was given this laptop as a gift with XP Pro preinstalled and no xp cd. What am I doing wrong?

Your doing nothing wrong you most likely need the Windows CD to continue. Not the first time I heard of a problem like this. When recieving a laptop always make sure it comes with the CD otherwise you might be hurting in the long run.
