New Compaq Windows XP!

Hey, I'm buying a windows XP compaq desktop, and I would like to know what some of the best antivirus software is, I can't have like a bunch of them or they'll conflict, I don't have money for costly items, but I heard AVG Free is pretty good. Is it? Thank you!

AVG is a gud Antivirus but i would suggest go for McAfee i have been running it for 2 years with no problem
