Hi! This is my first post on this website and I hope that I can help you with your query. To start with, formatting your storage device is just similar to formatting other drives. To do this in Windows XP, just connect your device to any USB ports in your CPU and then go to My Computer and select the drive where your device is connected. Right-click it and then select Format. If you are still unsure of what to do, I found a query that is similar to yours, just click on this link: http://www.techyv.com/questions/flash-disk-cannot-be-formatted
I hope I answered your question well. Good luck!
