XP desktop will not load

Hey can someone please help me with my problem.

Recently i have been having problems with my XP. After the login page, only the wallpaper appears and nothing else happens. No icons, menu bars etc could be loaded. I had to ctrl-atl-del to access task manager. On one occasion, there was a windows Error Report saying a "cutedruoo.exe" application could not be loaded. Only when i did a end process of "cutedruoo.exe" did my desktop started to load and all the icons and menu bar appears. As i could not solve this problem, i leave my comp as it is. A few days later the problem persist except this time round it involves another application called "cufsdfsdoo.exe". Similarly i have to do a end process of it before my desktop could start to appear.

Please advice me on what to do. Grealy appreciated.

Alrite, mabe I'm wrong, but this seems like spyware. I'd recommend that ya post a new thread in the 'Virus, Spyware, and Other Nasties' thread, along with a HijackThis log. (directions for doing this can be found in the very first thread listed, http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread28196.html )

Is this yet unanswered? If so, do this

http://www.msdner.com/dev-archive/215/24-120-2156057.shtm (only do the 1st paragraph)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogon\Shell = explorer.exe

Just make sure that anything after the "explorer.exe" is removed as they are viruses/worms.
