Add/Remove Programs Problem

Expand Post »
Whenever I open up Add/Remove Programs folder, nothing appears in it. I'm also not able to click on any of the subfolders.

I am also not able to copy/paste (in any program) or move anything, whether it is in the local drive or on the desktop. I've read through numerous threads about the copy/paste or drag/drop issue and the general consensus on that is to uninstall IE and reinstall it. My only problem is that I am unable to uninstall it, due to the Add/Remove issue.

Just for verification, I'm running Windows 2000.

Anybody have any ideas?? If u need me to post a HJT log, let me know.

Thanks in advance!!
