No Sound on New e-mail WINXP SP1

Hi there,

I recently stop hearing the tone I usually hear when new e-mail is received in Outlook Express. I still hear a tone when I delete notes from my DELETE folder and all of the standard WINXP sounds on start-up, etc. are still there. I tried several different options under SOUNDS in the Control Panel. Nothing works. I've double checked that nothing is muted.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

So everything is there, but the sound doesn't work? There is also a possibility that the wave file is just gone. And the yellow music box should dissapear if it does.
