Win XP Install Hanging Up

Expand Post »
I have been having problems performing a clean install of xp on a new hard drive. Every time it hangs up on 4min remaining while saving settings. However install fine on 3 other much smaller hard drives that i have when hooked to the same comp. Any ideas?

have you formatted the destination drive? sometimes an old corrupt installation can play havoc with the setup routine

Re: Win XP Install Hanging Up

oops. forgot it's a new drive. Try swapping the RAM modules with known working modules.
