File Download dialog Box Not appearing

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am running Windows XP with IE6

I have tried ALL of the following, with reboots after each one that was necessary. Still I cannot download, or see the File Download dialog box

1. Removed all virus/firwall software
2. Removed recent Microsoft patches
3. Ensured .Zip file is being directed to the correct program (i.e. explorer/tools/folderoptions/filetypes/zip
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled Explorer
5. Removed all temporary internet cookies & files (incl offline content)

All help appreciated

try this ,go to internet options in IE tools ,advanced/browsing and make sure show download box is checked ,or unchen it restart and then check it it might help bring back the download box .
