This is a common problem all of a sudden. It has been covered (and solved) here: http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread5036.html

You should also follow the instructions and download and run HijackThis according to instructions. Post the log here, we'll take it from there.

haha suxs for u cant help u thier

Server seems to be down at the hijack this website, I'll have to try later, thanks!

I've now downloaded hijack this, and it is in a zipped file folder on my desktop!! When I double click on it, all icons disappear and the same thing happens that happened before!! I'm stuck and don't know what to do!!!

Fixed the situation myself, just took a while, yahooooooooo!

Would you mind posting details of how you fixed it, then, for the benefit of others reading the topic?

Having this same problem... here's the log file... Any help? THANKS!

Fixed the situation myself, just took a while, yahooooooooo!

I am having a similar problem, same inability to access certain things, however my computer just locks up instead of the rearranging of icons.
I have tried running spybot programs and virus removal programs with no resu;ts. Could you please post what you did to solve this problem?
Thanks

Hi scheir_girl and welcome to Daniweb,
You have asked a question of a poster on a very old thread (Aug 3rd, 2008), I don't think he ever got an answer here and if he repaired his machine, he may not even remember how.
Please start a new thread and supply a lot of details about your machine, problem and OS.

After posting in this thread last night my problems got much worse after trying to remove cookies, clear cache, and run stopzilla as suggested above. I ended up having to call the tech support for my computer and had to restore system settings to factory.
Everyting seems to be running fine now, thanks for the tips that you posted above.
