Upgrading Windows 98 to XP

hey ya,
if anyone can help me out with this question, I much a appreciate it! :cheesy:

ok I got through the first 3 steps of Windows XP installation. The problem I am having is the computer stops with exactly 13 minutes left of installation and doesnt finish installing.

Hii.. look if you want just upgarding from win98 to winxp that is mean you won't use win98 and you will use winxp only ... hence after you enter serial number of winxp
you will find to choice to do .. if u want upgrade choose upgrade if u dont want to upgrade your win98 that is mean you will use both win98 and winxp hence choose new installition ..is it understood ? and the computer won't stop again;)
