Hi, new to the site. many thanks to this site, which got me threw my Hotmail Login problems. I tried it all, and nothing was working (tried resetting router, cleared cookies and files, registered the .dll files, etc). It wasn't until I was led to the MS troubleshooting website that it was fixed, namely through "SYSTEM RESTORE"
So, if your Hotmail was working on your laptop once before and now all of a sudden it's not, you can restore your computer to where it was near the date you know Hotmail WAS working. I did it (no files were erased, either) and it worked like a charm.
to do it, go to:
-Start
-Programs
-Accessories
-System Tools
-System Restore
-Restore my Computer to an earlier date
then choose a date by double-clicking on a month and day (you can back like 3months or so) that is in bold-face letters. It will reboot your computer. hope it works for you!
