Win me/2000 pro

I downloaded 2000 PROFESSIONAL into my old computer that had WIN ME - everything went fine but when I went to restart it does not happen; I get to a point, the screen becomes black and it tries to restart itself over and over.
Any suggestion :sad: Thanks

- At exactly what point in the boot process does it fail?

- Can you start up in safe mode?

- What are the specs of computer in question?

- Was this a fresh, clean install of 2K? In other words, did you wipe ME and reformat the drive?

Hi DMR thanks for taking the time to read my message.
I cannot go anywhere - i start the computer, I see it goes trough everything andthem on last section it stop and starts all over again the opening.

Yes, but could you please tell us exactly what section it stops at and provide the hardware specifications of the computer. Knowing those things will help us get to the bottom of it faster.
