active desktop recovery + random reboots

Expand Post »
Hi,

Recently my computer has been randomly rebooting itself and then saying that windows has recovered from a fatal error. At first I thought it was due to a virus so I ran Norton and nothing showed up. Today however, my computer restarted it self, and then when I went to log back into my admin account, the Active desktop recovery screen was up, after waiting for 2 mins or so my computer again restarted itself. I logged into another account on the same computer (not admin) and it works fine. Everytime I try and log into the admin account though, the computer automatically reboots. I don't even know where to start! Please HELP!

Re: active desktop recovery + random reboots

Try logging on to the admin account in safe mode? Then scan for viruses?
