Problem Installing Windows XP PRO

Hey..whats up..guys...im having a problem installing Windows XP Pro for my cousin..and the problem is ..when i enter setup an error message comes up and tells me that it cant copy the file "ql12160.sys" does anyone know what can i do about this..he currently has Windows 98 SE...i tried to skip it but when setup restarts it says that the file "ql12160" is corrupted...i hope i can get some help...THANKS IN ADVANCE

sounds like the file on disk is corrupted, make sure the disk is clean and free from scratches. just last weekend i had to ME on a friends computer because his XP disc was so messed up it wouldnt install anymore.
