Does anyone know how to make desktop icons smaller in Windows XP? I returned to my computer and they were much larger that I cant see all of my desktop items.

Please help:!:

maybe the icons didnt get bigger as such, maybe what in fact happened was that the resolution was reduced.

right click on the desktop and select properties
then go into the setiings tab

there should be a slider saying screen resolution - try and increase it.

if something happens like your screen goes black then dont push anything and wait 20 seconds and it should revert back

tHANKS JB - THAT WAS SO SIMPLE AND QUICK - IT WORKED - YOU WERE RIGHT - THE RESOLUTION WAS TOO LOW - THOUGH I NEVER CHANGED IT.

some games change it - it also gets reset if you update your video driver

I hate it when i bootup and my icons are bigger (It gets reset to 640x840).
