This problem just started a few days ago. I figured i would just hit a system restore point but they are all corrupted. Basically I can ping out from my system and Firefox and Trillian both work fine, but no other applications will connect to the internet. I keep good tabs on everything with adaware and hijackthis but aside from a few nasty cookies I can't find anything obviously wrong with my system.
Any ideas?
I use XP Pro SP2, and I have done a DNS flush to no avail.
