there are no active mixer devices

Expand Post »
I think I might have stumbled upon something. I had read on another website to go to start-run- key in: services.msc, then hit ok. then you scroll to windows audio. now you want to RT CLick on Windows Audio and click on Properties. a small window with tabs will appear. click on General Tab & go to Service Status and click on start. then go to Recovery Tab and here you do several things. ON the First, Second and Subsequent Failures-click on the arrow & select "restart the service" then go down to: Restart service after: and make sure it has a 1 in the box, for minutes. you might have to restart your computer to take affect. I tried several times and it appears to work okay. I have tried to find downloads to fix this and haven't found anything and just got lucky with this by using the good ol' rt. click!

cannot connect to internet

i, i have similar problems to the person who started this.i can connect the internet on one computer and not the other. i have tried the stuff previous to this post to no avail. i am using windows xp home sp2 (both) and a wireless modem router (d link dsl-g624t) with a wireless adapter (d link dwl g122). i have spoken to my dads friend about this on the home while on the computer and he said something about DNS and "ghosted". i used ipconfig and it gives me the following details:

Physical address: 00-17-98-A-BD-D0-9B
DHCP enabled: yes
Autoconfiguration enabled: yes
IP address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
IP address: fe80::217:98ff:febd:b09b%5
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP server: 192.168.1.1
DNS servers: 192.168.1.1 fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1

lots of information but thats usually helpful.

please help me

thanks
