Intel D815EEA PCI cards are not working properly

Expand Post »
I have an Gateway desktop 933, serial number 0023510410. Here is my problem, I bought this computer used with no hard drive. I installed a hard drive, with all the drivers from Gateway.com with the above serial number. In device manager everything is working, except I have a pci unknow driver error. On the motherboard is 4 pci with one being a sound card(working), second is Linksys ethernet pci card that the device manager says it working properly. Also, a AGP 32mb card. Device manager is saying I have a third pci card installed, why I don't know. My problems is the when I try to use my ethernet card, it will not work. I have moved this card to all of the available pci slots, but when I attached a ethernet cable for my DSL modem. The operating system doesn't see the ethernet card installed. I installed a 56k modem and device manager saw it. But when AOL tried to find the modem, it couldn't find the modem. I want installed windows 98, 2000, and XP. And I still can't get anything on the pci slots to work. I have front USB on the motherboard and it works fine. What can I do to get anything in the PCI to work.
