My Computer Beeps Randomly

My computer is beeping randomly. It does not do it at startup. Sometimes it beeps more often than other time, its a single beep at times every few minutes and sometimes it's a series of four beeps. I've checked my CPU's temperature and it says it is 54 degrees Celsius. Is this a normal temperature for it to run at. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I can't get much info on this problem.
Thanks

If you have the manual, check what the beeps are suppose to indicate. Typically they fire off due to overheating or, umm, power issues?
