i had formatted my pc, and after reinstalling windows xp and the driver files for my system audio, the sounds do not play.
i reinstalled the audio drivers but theres no sound!
has anyone ever faced the same problem??
I've recently had the same problem (no sound) and the only choice for my system default was A Modem. I removed, then using add hardware, reinstalled my Realtek AC97. I couldn't get sound working until I went back to the Audio device manger (through sounds on control panel) and selected Realtek as my sytem default. You may want to check what ur system default is.
No one has posted to this discussion for at least three months.
