Flushed my dns, but still no internet!

I, too, was getting the same error that i couldn't flush the dns, but after reading the entire thread, I was able to solve the problem. However, I still cannot connect to the net, even though i have been able to repair my LAN. does anyone have other suggestions besides reinstalling XP?
