Runtime error using Incredimail on XP

I have used Incredimail on XP for many months OK. Recently, when attaching a photo to an email, when the photo is found in My Pictures and clicked, Incredimail freezes and the following error is shown:

Runtime error
C:\Program files\Incredimail\Bin\Incmail.exe
Abnormal Program termination

It then closes Incredimail down, deleting the email.

I have ACDSee as default viewer.

I have checked for Trojans, viruses, ads and port security. All are OK and free of attackers (I think)

Please help, send advice or steer me to someone who can.

There's actually a free scanner to scan the windows registry for problems that may lead an incredimail error such as this.
