Boot.ini repair

Can you repair the boot files on a HDD pulled from a PC? (XP)

ie. boot.ini hal.dll

If you have the XP disc you can put it in when it get's to hit R for Repair do that.

Choose which Operating system then if there is no password hit enter.

From command prompt type FIXBOOT and FIXMBR also if you want run BOOTCFG /REBUILD.

The process of FIXBOOT, FIXMBR, BOOTCFG /REBUILD worked for when i wanted to get rid of the linxu bootloader and in the past repair install has worked when i get BSODs at boot so i would assume so
