setting homepage

hi everybody,
i recently hosted one of my friends website, in the local system (ie., 192.166.0.0:80 ) when i type this ip address in the internet exp ,
it comes with default home page , but when i run the main website for example www.yahoo.com it doesnot open the home page
it just says the You are not authorized to view this page
but when i type www.yahoo.com/home.htm then it opens.... what to do for opening default page when somebody clicks the webaddress

there is probably a setting which needs to be done on the hosting server. Maybe ask ur server guy

You need to set "home.htm" as your default page for the site in IIS. This can be changed in the properties of the website in IIS on documents tab.
