PowerPoint 2003 Help???

I am creating this PowerPoint show to put on DVD for my mother in law. I am using Office 2003. I have a DVD burner on my computer.

Question1: I cannot get the song to play as soon as the slide show begins. It always starts after the first slide.

Question2: How do I move it from CD to DVD and view on the TV with the music playing. Can it be done?

Question3: The music icon appears when it starts to play the music and disappears soon after is that normal?
