Windows Media Player error

Expand Post »
Am having problems with my WMP 11, whenever i try to play live streaming media from the web i constantly keep getting the following error message;
"The file you are attempting to play has an extention (.) that does not matchthe file format. Playing the file may result in unexpected behavior".
The warning then goes on to ask me if i would like to play the file, when i agree, WMP will still not play the files.
Can anyone help as i have unistalled and reinstalled both WMP 10 and WMP 11 and still getting the same problem.
Am using Windows XP Home SP2, WMP 11, all help is appreciated. sxiloh:eek:
