Outlook Express will not change font size

Expand Post »
When creating a new message Outlook Express defaults to Ariel font at 10 point size. In Tools, Options, Compose I have it set for Mail and News to Times Roman at 12 points, but it still starts out with Ariel 10 points. Is there a way to force Outlook to start new message with Times Roman 12 points? Thank you so much for any help.

Re: Outlook Express will not change font size

Times New Roman? Yuk! (I dislike serifs.)

Two things to check:

1. Are you using a template? If so, was the template created in Arial 10? If it was, the font will change to the template font every time.

2. Is a local network email server overriding you with a companywide default font?

Re: Outlook Express will not change font size

I don't use a template or have a local network. I formated my hard disc about 3 months ago and Outlook Express worked great, then about a month ago it started defaulting to Arial 10 pts. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
